We all know it is about who gets it(materially), but some realize there is a question of values(spiritually) but where we mix things up regards the democracy and economics and a devaluing of politics, and the powers that be.(the people and their relationships) In this regard, I mix the allegory of the egg(Humpty) versus the wall(Dumpty) and working on lowering both rather than breaking or knocking both down. Keeping in mind, the pragmatic and incremental, and the cooperative and the competitive dynamics of the whole process. Given that there is more of a bubble problem than the wall problem when it comes to numbers and the creative derivative situation, it seems that a leak is in order, and that might be in the form of tax reform. AKA: Entitlement reform. (not really AKA, more like biofeedback* wise)

[To sum it up, there is a very interesting exchange on Face the Nation where a new congressman (Rep.-Elect Mike Kelly) presents an interesting "reality": "running" the country in the black (sounds like the country is in business **) vis a vis a gory alley.(a flip-flopped allegory) In an aside it is truly more than about left and right, Democrat and Republican, for it seems the Democrats have been acknowledged to be split in their approach including Obama in terms of being accused of being for or against business(it is not that simple) but the representatives in this exchange are "running" from their party in regards to responsibility,(Michelle Bachmann & Kelly) as they may not have voted along the lines of what their party has, in fact, neither did the Democrats in regard to the compromise on the Bush tax cut extensions. In this case being on the same side, does not make both right or wrong, but only both being there for different reasons.]

There has been much silliness out there, but the message from Massachusetts seems to be about the lack of change.

Obama aside(I think he will get it and in fact has a message), people are not as incremental and pragmatic or nuanced, and independents and moderates, not to mention the Democratic base feel left behind.

Rather than blogOn, I will leave this as framed.

One great thing about Obama's primary victory is now we know that's not true. This is the modern Republican Party. It turns out they were the ones who adopted Malcolm X's slogan, "By any means necessary." As disgusted as I am with S&P's decision to downgrade U.S. debt, the ratings agency took the unusual step of calling out the GOP in its press release, predicting future fiscal peril "because the majority of Republicans in Congress continue to resist any measure that would raise revenues," Sen. John Kerry was right to call it the "Tea Party downgrade" on "Meet the Press" Sunday. They have now made clear they'll wreck the economy as long as they can wreck Obama's presidency. And we have no way to know that Clinton's history with right-wing saboteurs would have enabled her to fight more effectively.

Simpson-Bowles and S&P Re: Revenue.

Hennessey’s assessment of Simpson-Bowles is even more puzzling. As I’ve noted before, Simpson-Bowles raised about $2 trillion in new revenues and cut defense spending by about $800 billion. The plan Obama proposed to Boehner raises half as much revenue and, from what I’m told, includes about half as much in defense cuts. It’s hard to see how that qualifies as "to the left" of Simpson-Bowles.

The fn. above discusses a narrative that is lacking in Obama's rhetoric. The actual recalcitrance of the Republican party, the lack of a filibuster proof congress, not to mention the media as we know it(Koch Brothers), argues more balanced narrative than Blame Obama. ...and incremental, pragmatic, and needs to reflect diverse views and dynamics. It also should put the health care progress in proper perspective, as there are both employment and international consequences to changes, which congress must be in on addressing. Despite the fears of some, this is not a dictatorship or even a one party system but a triumvirate for the tetrahedron of the people.

I must preface, that I caught a lot of the reaction along with snippets of the speech on MSNBC(which was no bed of roses) before I finally listened to the whole speech while writing (interspersed) the second[*] blog post. Somewhere embedded is the video of Mathews with Ron Reagan Jr. where he is bating Karen Finney. So if you run into it, let me know, but I have an index of priority links, the first being the speech[**], which I think is the most important in history. Yet. OK, maybe not so melodramatically but solemnly considered to be in the balance. Meaning: if these pragmatic and incremental tactics are not strategically implemented, there will be a much harder and dangerous, Rube Goldberg, if not broken with a peace busted, Rubic's Cube. Any opposition must address all the concerns of our puzzle, not that some pressure will not be welcomed to tweak the navigator and the crew.]
